Responsible for accurate analysis and reporting the Credit & Collection Department Objectives: DSO reduction, improved cash collections, reduced delinquency and dispute management.
Communicate findings with Senior Credit Management Team and Business Unit Controllers to develop strategic response and implement changes.
Essential Accountabilities: Credit Maximize sales while protecting the accounts receivable asset through the implementation of sound credit policy in accordance with MH interests, goals and objectives.
Assess portfolio account receivable balances and manage the appropriate collection processes and practices to ensure maximum cash flow with minimal credit loss.
Review existing accounting and systems controls and procedures to insure accuracy and compliance with corporate policies.
Evaluate and address the needs of the staff to insure appropriate skills are allocated to achieve maximum results.
Leverage extensive knowledge for successful staff training.
Provide the necessary leadership skills to promote continuous improvement within the credit and accounts receivable organization.
Preside over the financial reporting function to insure strict adherence to company guidelines on financial reporting and insure strict accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Accounts Receivable Manage the development and preparation of value added analyses of A/R balances relating to extended terms and the impact on DSO. Provide recommendations to A/R Operations for additional reporting requirements to support the analyses.
Evaluate and address the needs of the staff to insure appropriate skills are allocated to achieve maximum results.
Leverage extensive knowledge for successful staff training.
Provide the necessary leadership skills to promote continuous improvement within the credit and accounts receivable organization.
Communicate ideas, recommendations and constructive solutions to the business unit for changes to business policy, practice and process that will contribute to achievement of the department objectives.
Work with the credit team to develop reporting to support recommendations at customer levels by compiling customer DSO analysis.
Manage a team which reconciles accounts and compiles internal/external reporting including DSO analysis, bad debt reserve.
College degree is required with broad knowledge of a discipline such as Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or EconomicsStrong credit, collections experience and accounts receivables management skillsBusiness Process Management skills and experience preferred Strong credit and financial analysis is critical for this positionStrong written and verbal communications skills (this knowledge is fundamental in preparing reports, conducting presentations and dealing with senior business unit management)Experience with Business intelligence tools helpfulPrevious management experience to handle diverse staff job functions
