Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010We are currently hiring for a Helpdesk Technician to work in Battle Creek, MI. Must be willing to perform shift work.
Duties, Skills, Experience: Coordinating and prioritizing service for desktop PCs and laptops in a Windows environmentProviding day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems, software, and hardware (including remote user support) Coordinating adds, moves, changes, and deletion to software systems, including account administration Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, laptops, servers, printers, and network issues Maintaining passwords, data integrity, and file system security for the desktop environments Tracking assets, such as desktop PCs, laptops, and peripheral equipment, including replacement, repair, and disposal Recommending hardware/software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades Functioning as the primary contact for the support call tracking system Performing basic administrative tasks, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a Windows environment, Cisco Hubs/Switches/Routers, Cisco PIX 520, and backup systems Participating in the assessment and maintenance of server room and data closets layouts, including data management racks, cabling, power, and environmental systems1+ years experience building, configuring, and maintaining Windows 2000/2003 (or better) servers in a 50+ user network or 1+ years of helpdesk support in a Windows environment In-depth understanding of Intel based server environments Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, organizational, and customer service skills Ability to organize and clearly communicate work progress in a consistent timely manner A+, Sec+ or any MS certification required (MCP, MCSA, and MCSE)–must be able to obtain MCP within with in 90 days of employment Clearance Requirements: Must be a citizen and be able to hold a security clearance.
