Will report directly to the Vice President of International Business Development.
In this role, the chemist will perform bench work (formulation, analysis, testing, and product development), translate documents as needed, and will participate in technical meetings.
It will be necessary to compile and create sales and marketing documents, in support of international business growth.
Providing technical service to customers will also be required.
Both domestic and international travel may be necessary.
This role requires the individual to work independently.
Requirements: BS or MS degree in Chemistry.
5-10 years working experience in the surfactant industry.
Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
Able to communicate effectively, in both Chinese and English.
Able to translate scientific documents from Chinese to English, and vice-versa.
Preferences: Degree in Organic Chemistry.
Research and Development background, in either product development or product formulation.
Experience in Technical Marketing or Technical Service.
Familiar with products sold into the following markets: Industrial and Institutional, Emulsion Polymerization, Textile, Agrochemicals, Paper Processing, and Pigment Dispersion systems.
