Saturday, July 10th, 2010Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) uses BMC Control-M (CM) for enterprise batch scheduling.
It provides advanced production-scheduling capabilities across the enterprise from a single point of control.
Also, ITS utilizes Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM R1 and R2) to monitor the health and welfare of MS application servers in the Data Center.
Events are passed to IBM Netcool for escalation.
This is a very hands-on position that requires strong technical knowledge and experience working with SCOM as well as CM. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the monitoring tools and processes for a 24×7 production environment.
This Engineer works closely with the Server and Network Operations Group to develop, test, implement, and maintain active server and network monitoring and perform metrics gathering and reporting.
