Also responsible for functions as assigned including, but not limited to: ensuring all investment transactions settle at the custodian in accordance with industry guidelines; the processing of funding requests for non-traditional investments, processing of commercial paper purchases, processing of institutional money market fund transactions and the processing of liquidity pool transactions as well as the reconciliation of the cash to custodians.
Also responsible for cash flow forecasting as well as reporting of short-term liquidity, income and cash from operations analysis to the Investment committee and the Board of Directors.
Provide functional knowledge and training to Cash Analysts (grades 15 and below).
Responsibilities Controls all records of cash activity relating to investment transactions and associated operational cash flows including: verification of trade details, resolution of trade discrepancies, and reconciliation of cash activity and input of wire transfer instructions for all investment portfolios.
Also controls and monitors activity for LMIA pool processing and balances as recorded in the Treasury Workstation–TWS.
Validates balances in all accounts daily ensuring accounts and custodial balances in CAMRA, Aladdin, TWS and the custodian agree.
Ensures all Cash Management Analysts meet all requirements for processing transactions on a daily basis.
Ensures all Operational cash activity for the prior month is analyzed to the financial view for reporting to the Investment Committee as well as the Board of Directors within department guidelines.
Responsible for accuracy of all reports to internal and/or external management including short-term liquidity, income received and reporting to the Investment Committee or Investment Manager and the Board of Directors.
Ensures all processes are documented for business continuity.
Reviews are executed by a Lead or higher on all wires and trades in accordance with the key controls defined in the Sarbanes-Oxley narratives.
Ensures all external funding recipients are screened through the Office of Foreign Assets Controls.
Responsible for the development of Cash analysts to ensure they are properly trained and that each member of the team functions within the guidelines and procedures set forth for the day-to-day operations of the company's cash activity.
Acts as subject matter expert in the review of cash management systems and supervises systems evaluation, development, enhancement and installation.
Monitors and maintains clear, concise records with metrics, review and sign-offs and provides a monthly report to the manager.
Metrics include but are not limited to daily risk and performance.
Responsible for the coordination, scheduling and distribution of the workload.
Ensures the work of each analyst is reviewed and signed off by a Lead or higher.
Responsible for the maintenance and assignments of new custody, brokerage, collateral and global accounts for domestic custodians excluding statutory accounts.
Acts as or assigns resources to act as subject matter experts on all new initiatives and executes unit objectives as defined annually as well as any projects as assigned.
Ensures all accounts are funded according to department policy.
Qualifications A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, accounting or finance 7+ years work experience in an investment cash operations environment with exposure to similar duties are highly desirable.
Proficiency in spreadsheet (EXCEL) packages is preferred.
Familiarity with the automated custodial banking is required.
Good oral and written communications skills are essential.
Past management experience is required.
