Position Description:Responsibilities include the development and delivery of software components and applications for LSI’s next generation storage management solution. Work with a team consisting of multiple internal groups and external partners to understand and deliver on product requirements and priorities. Work with technical and strategic architects, product managers and customer interface leaders to refine high-level requirements, consult/advise on feature sets and provide alternative recommendations that balance technical limitations with LSI’s product objectives. Other desired qualities are strong personal motivation and a willingness to demonstrate a high sense of urgency while working within the larger team. Must have a history of being a technical role model, exemplifying engineering excellence and integrity. Must have experience working with management, team colleagues, and partners to ensure aggressive schedules and quality goals are met. Must have strong teamwork skills, the ability to technically coach and mentor less experienced teammates and possess the ability to maintain high morale within the Enterprise Storage Group organization. LINUX experience is a plus.- Extensive C programming experience- Strong knowledge of software development process- Works in environments that have multiple high priority projects running in parallel – Enjoys working in a high paced team environment – Quick learner, needs little or no supervision to be successful- Working experience with enterprise class NAS or Storage products- Experience with Xen a plus- Bachelor or Master Level in Computer Science or Computer Engineering- 8+ years of engineering experience
